Hello there friends! I hope each of you is having a WONDERFUL day! February, the last day of February to be exact! Where has this month gone? I swear I blinked and it was over! I feel like I have been on autopilot this month in terms of my blog and getting stuff done. Take this post, for example, it should have been up weeks ago. But sometimes life just gets in the way and you just need to deal with things. February is just a busy month for our family and brings a lot of new challenges. Just a few examples for you: February 3rd was my husbands birthday, the 13th was our 21st wedding anniversary, the 14 was Valentine's Day of course and my birthday was the 18th. Mix that in with a few beach trips and my oldest 2 doing concert band and golf added to the usual school routine. Then there is this Georgia weather...it's winter some days, then spring and hey let's toss a few summer days in there too. That brings on sick days for my kids...is there any wonder why this mama needs her coffee?
Today I'm gonna talk to you about something I drink daily....who am I kidding it's hourly! Iced coffee! There is just something about it - so refreshing, smooth and creamy! I have searched the internet over to figure out how to brew the perfect cup and tried lots of different things before I found what works better for me. I really like the brew ahead method and I use Two Rivers Flavored Coffee Sampler to make mine. I have talked before about how I really like sampler packs and like the month of February, each day can be a new flavor adventure.
Here is my easy to follow steps for the perfect make-ahead iced coffee.
Select your favorite cup blend
Two Rivers Flavored Coffee Sampler offers brands that include: Brooklyn Bean, Bosco, Friendly's, Hamilton Mills, Java Factory, Realtree, Workaholics, Andes and Cella's - so you have a wide variety to pick from and can change it up with each cup. I recommend brewing 2 Kcups with the smaller cup brewing feature if your system allows that for a bolder more full-bodied coffee.
Sugar-Sugar
While my coffee is hot I go ahead and my sweetener. This makes it so much easier to dissolve it in the mixture.
Let's chill
This is where the magic happens, I like to chill the above mixture for a minimum of 30 minutes. This makes sure when you add the ice to make it iced coffee the ice will not melt and dilute the coffee. You can also make ahead and chill overnight, I also do this too. This works great his you know you will have a day where you will be drinking more coffee. I suggest getting a smaller container with a lid for easy storage.
Bring on the Flavor
Even though Two Rivers Flavored Coffee Sampler comes packed full of flavor this is the perfect chance to add more. When I am setting up my iced coffee is the perfect time to add flavored syrups or creamers. You can also just add milk....this is your perfect brew there is no wrong or right!
Flavored Coffee Variety pack sampler has 100 pods that include; Maple, Chocolate, Cinnamon, Chocolate Vanilla, Pumpkin, Vanilla, Hazelnut, and Other Flavored Coffees. The individual flavor may vary!
Ice, Ice baby!
That's right it's not iced coffee without the ice. Add as much or as little ice as you want and don't forget the straw!

As always keep it Southern Y'all!
