Forty is the new thirty. Indeed, you don’t have any reason to be afraid of hitting the big 4-0 milestone. For a start, being 40 in the 21st century offers a world of opportunities. The world is not only your oyster, but, for the first time, you have the experience and the wisdom to nurture that oyster and steal its precious pearl.
More to the point, 40 marks a new beginning in the life of a woman. It’s an age at which you have finally mastered the self-confidence you need to evaluate your life choices and correct some of the ill-informed decisions you might have taken in the past. It’s the best time to compile the balance sheet of your situation, on the left, the things you love about your life and yourself, and on the right the things that need to change. Your chance of happiness is now: You can make the most of what you know and what you have to clean the slate and reveal the brand new you. It’s time for your wake-up calls!
#1. Realizing someone is making your sick
Everything in the body is connected. So while it’s easy to understand why a bruise appears where you knocked your arm against the table. But you need to be older in years to reach a better understanding of your health, especially when it comes to your mental health. The question “how do you feel” can leave a lot of people unsure. Ultimately, when life doesn’t give us the opportunity to stop and recharge our batteries, it can be tricky to understand your emotions. Your body is a holistic machine that reacts to a variety of factors. Your mental and emotional health can, therefore, create physical reactions, such as headaches, increased stress, etc. But when you’re still young and inexperienced, you may not see how a person’s behavior can create your illness. But now is the time to wave goodbye to those who cause you pain and emotional discomfort. Whether it’s the friend who takes you for granted or the partner who is never there when you need them, know that you have the strength to break free.
#2. Realizing that you can fight your genes
Your genes define how your body reacts to its environment. Indeed, you might have done everything you could to look after your skin, but your lifestyle choices and skincare products can only do so much. If you’ve got bad genes, you’re more likely to develop premature wrinkles, while your friend next door is older than you but her gene pool is kinder to her skin. Yes, it is frustrating! But accept the situation as it is. Your hard work is paying off – it always does –, but it’s not doing enough. Being in a position where you understand that you can’t fight biology means that you are more likely to find effective alternatives, such as considering botox for wrinkles or laser treatment to boost your skin. Ultimately, it’s important to realize that society is wrong. You don’t have to accept your body if it doesn’t work for you.
#3. Realizing that you don’t have to meet other people’s expectations
Young women are more likely to be influenced by their partners, when it comes to their beauty. Whether it’s about shaving your legs or wearing makeup, you need to ask yourself who you are doing it for. You may not have enough self-confidence as a 20-something to understand that your efforts are only designed to please someone else. But now, you can embrace your flaws, your bumps, your hair fully and consider the real beneficiary of your beauty routines. Something you do to be accepted by someone else is not worth doing anymore.
#4. Realizing your true calling
By now, you’ve probably built a successful career in your branch. But being successful in your job doesn’t mean that you are happy. Did you know that many adults haven’t yet found their passion? They pursue a career a provide financial stability but fails to give them the satisfaction and purpose they desire. If every day feels dull, the ideal career you built is not a good fit for you. Practising self-reflection can help you to identify areas that feel closer to your true self. Besides, you’ve got now sufficient knowledge and personal strength to figure out what print you want to leave in the world.
#5. Realizing that nothing is eternal
Finally, following the idea of finding your true passion, you need to act upon it. Dreaming of what life could be if this or that isn’t the answer. You can’t afford to wait. Finding your happy place requires starting today.
Life coaches tend to assume that 40 is the time to start again. What happens if you hear those wake-up calls earlier? The answer is simple. It’s never too early to embrace your true self, emotionally, professionally and physically.

Welcome to Atlanta where when it’s spring, the air turns yellow and everyone starts sneezing and sniffling. Hello, Spring!! Just kidding...kind of. That is all still very true, but spring is so much more than just pollen and sneezing - it is a time to start fresh and new and it’s a time to finally enjoy the beautiful Atlanta weather! The weather does not show that it is spring yet, for the most part - we’ve had a couple of warm days lately, but not many - but I’ve already heard more birds chirping and I’ve seen some blooming plants, so far. I think everyone is very excited about warmer weather and fun spring activities to come - I know I am!
Every spring, I always have the urge to do all of the spring things. Picking strawberries, going on bike rides, etc. but I never do the necessary tasks, like spring cleaning and taking my allergy medicine because they just are not fun. It can be easy to focus on the things that we want to do, but when we avoid the things that we need to do, that is never good. Here is a must do list for spring (the things that you NEED to do):
Dental Appointments
Dental appointments are just another one of those things that you don’t want to do, but you should surely do it, to prevent future damage. Going to the dentist is so important to make sure that your gums are teeth are strong and healthy! Your mouth is the pathway to your body, so going to the dentist every six months is essential, and you also need to make sure you are doing all that you can do incorporate good preventative care in between your appointments.
Dr. Gary Simms with Metro Decatur Dental Group PC recommends using a soft to a medium toothbrush. When you are brushing, position the brush at a 45-degree angle where your gums and teeth meet. Gently move the brush in a circular motion using small, gentle strokes in order to brush the outside surface of your teeth. Don’t forget to floss, as well! Periodontal disease usually appears between your teeth, where the toothbrush cannot reach, so flossing is a great way to remove plaque from those hard to reach surfaces.
So, take advantage of the pollen in the air and go to your dental appointment during the spring since it will be indoors!
Hike
Okay, I know that I’ve talked a lot about the pollen and how this is a ‘not fun’ list, but please remember to take advantage of the weather, get outside, and sweat a little bit! Hiking is the perfect way to see Atlanta during the spring when the trees and plants are blooming and everything is just so gorgeous. I love hiking Kennesaw Mountain - it’s a pretty tough hike, but still easy enough that almost anyone can do it. The view is great, as well!

Spring Cleaning
Everyone is so busy enjoying the beautiful weather and they just do not make time for spring cleaning - myself included. According to The Spruce, “One of the biggest parts of spring cleaning is getting rid of clutter that you don't need. Now is a good time to advantage of the natural spring urge to get rid of items that are weighing you down and begin fresh with a more streamlined lifestyle. A systematic four-step approach to identifying problems, analyzing reasons, determining solutions, and implementing remedies can be extremely productive at this time of year. Sorting your belongings into four categories—trash, give-away, store, or put-way—can also be effective as you begin the spring-cleaning process. Now is a great time to plan a garage sale or to donate items to good causes. Cleaning will be a lot easier when the clutter is gone.” Another huge tip is to get an all-purpose cleaner that will work for everything! I love using Branch Basics because it is non-toxic and it really works, too! They give you one concentrate and you can split them up into different bottles for the bathroom, laundry, all-purpose, streak-free, etc. but my tip is to use all of the bottles for all-purpose (or bathroom - because it’s stronger) cleaners and then use the laundry one for laundry.

From time to time, someone we know will be preparing to get married. This can be an exciting and worrying time for all. Exciting in that the day will likely be a wonderful one, and signify the loving future of your relative or friend. Worrying in that… weddings can be pretty complex to plan. But if asked to help with the arrangements, accepting this privilege can be something you do out of love and care. It’s an honor to be asked this, so it’s no wonder why many people take it with both hands. After all, helping to pick out the most elegant wedding dresses or the best venues can be extremely exciting and gratifying! Of course, if you cannot find the time or simply do not wish to, you shouldn’t feel pressured into doing this. If that sounds like you, the following advice will hold little value.
But if you are hoping to help someone plan a wedding, especially without stressing yourself, then it can be truly wonderful to do so. You never know just how much this might please them. Of course, you want to do the best job you can, so let us guide you through this both amazing and nervous time:
Take Care Of The Small Elements
It might not be that you can plan everything with them, but you might volunteer to take care of the smaller considerations. Of course, every consideration is significant and counts, but perhaps you might have some knowledge you can ‘flex’ in order to find the best option. For example, you might not have any idea what makes a great wedding dress, but you might have found a great resource for sourcing a wedding band such as those offered by the Alive Network https://www.alivenetwork.com/hirelivemusic/bands-for-weddings-in?region=Scotland. It’s always best to make a contribution effectively rather than trying to help plan everything in some tiny manner.
Only Agree To That Which Is Appropriate For You
It might be that your friend wishes you to take care of the wedding rings and present them on the day. That might not seem like something you want to do, especially considering how you have children to look after on that day. It’s quite okay to decline responsibilities in order to focus on the ones you have been given, or vice versa, it’s quite okay to only wish to take care of one large element with the utmost reliability. This can help you avoid making a significant mistake, especially with something as important as this.
Communicate
It’s important to stay in excellent communication with all forms of the wedding planning team. Ideally, the planning team should be relatively small, because the ‘too many cooks’ syndrome can establish itself in a big way here. You might encourage creating a group WhatsApp, Facebook or Twitter chat for all of your planning acquaintances to speak to each other, to pin messages, and to ensure that two people through lack of planning end up doing the same thing, while lacking another essential responsibility.
With these tips, you’re sure to help someone plan a wedding without stressing yourself. We wish you the best of luck.

Many women will tell you that they don’t like their breast area and there can be different reasons for this. They may feel that they are too small or too big. Perhaps lost firmness and lift due to having children. They may even be conscious that they are uneven in size. Which is a lot more common than you would believe. There are different things you can do to combat this. You can look into something like a breast augmentation or other cosmetic surgery options as a long term fix. However, there are other things to think about that can be less intrusive, such as considering exercise as certain weight training and toning exercises can help with the shape of your breasts. You could also consider the bra you wear. Sometimes women don’t wear the right size which can make them feel worse about the situation. Having a bra that fits correctly could be all you need to do. Whatever you consider doing know that there are options out there for you.
Nose
You guessed it. Many women have a problem with their noses. This is because it is right in the centre of your face and can have an effect on how your face shape looks and appears. Some women have bigger noses than others; we are all different after all. While sometimes a nose could have been broken causing it to appear misshapen. Of course, another option to fix this issue would be cosmetic surgery. But not everyone wants to go down that route. While there are not any magic potions to reduce the size of a nose, or increase it. You could consider the use of makeup techniques like contouring to help reduce the overall appearance. However, the best advice is to accept that the shape of your nose has a greater effect on your overall looks, it is what makes you unique and something to be proud of and embrace.
Skin
Our skin can be a real big problem for many of us. Especially if you suffer from acne or have spot prone skin. Sometimes it’s recommended to seek advice from a doctor. To determine whether you need any specific skincare products to help clear things up. Other times it may be as simple as changing what you use yourself or trying a new skincare routine. Your skin can be affected by the things you eat and drink. So if you feel it is becoming a problem try and increase the amount of water you drink and up your intake of fruit and vegetables. Having a healthier lifestyle could be all you need to clear up your skin and feel confident in it.
Tummy area
Finally, the tummy area can be a big issue for many women. There could be many reasons why you don’t feel confident in yourself. You may have had children, maybe you have gained a little weight due to stress or life getting in the way of a healthier lifestyle. Whatever the reason may be it’s something you can take action with. Sometimes just taking exercise and moving more along with a healthy balanced diet is all it needs to lose weight and tone up your body again. Diets can offer a quick result but can be difficult to maintain. So make sure you may a good choice and think about your overall lifestyle.
Let’s hope this has made you more comfortable with your body image.

These Inter Décor Mistakes Are On The Hit-List Of Experts
It’s a thrill to change the looks of your room with new accessories and remodeling. Precisely it can be called an experiment because there is room for error here too. Hasty decisions and lack of attention can be a hazard later on. Although ignored by people, some mistakes get the attention of experts and here we tell you about some of those minutes yet annoying mistakes.
1. Wrong Lampshade
This is an easy-to-do mistake and you can get an example almost everywhere. Lampshades are available in many varieties and materials. People often buy a too big shade for the lamp than the one which is fit and gives you an appropriate lighting effect. The bigger size of lampshade seem like an exaggerated work and also a careless one. So measure the lamp before buying and also check the fabric and transparency of the lampshade.
2. Hanging Art
Art-works can literally transform any wall into a picturesque destination. You can create your personal art gallery with impressive decoration and collection of memorable moments. It can be personal or it may be full of fantasy but, the major mistakes that people make while creating an art-works representation is they do not pay attention to the arrangement and set of paintings or pictures on the wall. Artworks such as framed paintings and family photos often come in various shape, size and differ in their potential placement location. And also you have to take into consideration the background and the after-effects of the décor. So one of the easiest and best answers to these problems is to make a paper diagram of frames and the wall and the setting beforehand. You can get paper cut-outs of those and place them on the wall to get a framework for your pictures to place.
3. Too much antique
Every person loves to cherish his prized possessions. And among them, antiques are the crown jewel. Maybe part of a collection or a memory of a happy past, antiques seem like inspiring a sense of classic décor in a today’s fast life. Everything goes fine until to realize that unknowingly you have accumulated a lot of antique and they, although unnecessary, are trying to squeeze into your interior décor just because you are hesitant to get rid of them. You should know that you cannot fit in all those things that your family gifted you 10 years ago and also it would be very annoying to keep all those things you bought from your trips to numerous places many years back. Furniture, artifacts, vases, books, framed photos, there are many such things that are making clutter by getting the least of your attention. The solution can be that you either store those you think are too much in a not-disturbing place or you can give them away to friends and family.
4. Decoration around TV
Yes, this is also a minor problem in interior décor. People often think that TV is the center of attraction around which you can put many other things to enhance the overall effect. But, you forget one thing that TV is meant to be the focus while someone is watching something on it. So your other hard-work around it will find less attention despite your many ideas and techniques. The showcases, vases, candle holders etc will just be an exaggeration. Keep the surrounding minimal in décor around the TV as it is more likely that you will watch the TV when it is on and not its embellishments and when it is off too many objects around the large black screen will look a bit cluttering. Solution to this is to keep the TV integrated into a proper setting. Example- keep two floral painted flower vase on two sides of the TV table where the background wall will have a fainted shade on it.
5. No houseplants
Houseplants bring a sense of purity to the indoor décor. A congested space can be transformed with a better look with the use of houseplants like silk flower arrangements and faux palm trees. The interior can feel a little stuffy without any kind of houseplants. Houseplants fit in almost every possible décor theme. And you can also go for artificial plants like artificial palm trees or silk orchids. Find a nice and usable space inside your house and add some natural touch.
6. Unsettling fabrics and textiles
It can be a fault of the newest trends. People tend to misunderstand the modern mixture of various colors and textiles to create a beautiful setting. You have to acknowledge the importance of rugs and curtains if you want a marvelous outlook. Don’t just paint or buy wall panels without even thinking about the fabrics that you are going to use to complement the theme. Remember that curtains, pillow covers, sofa rugs are the most visible segment of a room. If you choose them wrong or if you place them randomly, don’t think that you can make a new kind of design by yourself. Many-a-times this mindset makes you do a lot of weird things. You can’t put a black and white rug under a seating area with a red leather sofa and a redwood table in between. The bright and vigorous color of curtains will look very unfriendly in a vintage theme. So keeping your budget and room setting in mind, first go for fabric selection.
7. Unorganized wires
One of the modern day problems. You will find unlimited wire inside your house, maybe of TV or lights arrangements or computers. Keeping them entangled won’t help you. It’s just extra clutter, but you can’t throw them away. So it’s better to keep them organized. Put the extra length of the wire in the drawer of TV table, tie the computer wires with a rubber band and hide them in a cord cover. If you have unused wire, keep them at a place where it will be difficult for them to disturb the interior peace.
There are many more of those common mistakes. You just have to imagine and pay attention to find those faults. As you know ignoring never helps. So get aboard this correction ship.

These are the perfect movie snack to chomp down on while watching the battle for the throne. Own Aquaman on 4K UHD Combo Pack, Blu-ray combo pack and DVD Special Edition on March 26. This film is beautifully done, it takes us all on an amazing adventure. As a DC Comics fan, I have to say this is one movie that is a must have for any collection.
- 1 Bugles chips
- 1 cup peanut butter (or sun butter for those with a peanut allergy)
- 1 cup Almond Bark OR Chocolate chips (I used white but you can use any kind you fancy)
- Approximately 1-2 cups of powdered sugar
Warm peanut butter of low heat in the microwave until smooth and pour over Bugles chips you have placed either is a larger bowl or gallon zippered bag.
Make sure the Bugles chips are coated in the peanut butter and allow to cool a new minutes BEFORE repeating the step using the Almond Bark. Making sure to let everything cool before proceeding to the next step.
For a better coating, I added the powdered sugar to the zippered bag BEFORE I transferred the Bugles mixture. I alternated adding the powdered sugar and Bugles until everything was in my bag. Shake the bag GENTLY until Bugles are covered.
**When heating both the peanut butter and Almond Bark I recommend doing it in small 15 to 20-second sessions stirring the mixture in between to approved burning.**
From Warner Bros. Pictures and director, James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.
The film also stars Amber Heard (“Justice League,” “Magic Mike XXL”) as Mera, a fierce warrior and Aquaman’s ally throughout his journey; Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe (“Platoon,” “Spider-Man 2”) as Vulko, council to the Atlantean throne; Patrick Wilson (“The Conjuring” films, “Watchmen”) as Orm/Ocean Master, the present King of Atlantis; Dolph Lundgren (“The Expendables” films) as Nereus, King of the Atlantean tribe Xebel; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Netflix’s “The Get Down”) as the vengeful Black Manta; and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman (“The Hours,” “Lion”) as Arthur’s mom, Atlanna; as well as Ludi Lin (“Power Rangers”) as Captain Murk, Atlantean Commando; and Temuera Morrison (“Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones,” “Green Lantern”) as Arthur’s dad, Tom Curry.
Wan directs from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (“The Conjuring 2”) and Will Beall (“Gangster Squad,” TV’s “Training Day”), story by Geoff Johns & James Wan and Will Beall, based on characters from DC, Aquaman created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger. The film is produced by Peter Safran and Rob Cowan, with Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Jon Berg, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada serving as executive producers.
Wan’s team behind the scenes includes such frequent collaborators as Oscar-nominated director of photography Don Burgess (“The Conjuring 2,” “Forrest Gump”), his five-time editor Kirk Morri (“The Conjuring” films, “Furious 7,” the “Insidious” films), and production designer Bill Brzeski (“Furious 7”). They are joined by costume designer Kym Barrett (“The Matrix” trilogy, “The Amazing Spider-Man”) and composer Rupert Gregson-Williams (“Wonder Woman”).

Planning a party is exciting, thrilling, expensive and more than a little bit
stressful. Nowadays, parties come with many, many options. Even
kids parties
come with choices of location, food, entertainment, music, decor and
accessories. And, we seem to have them all of the time. We have parties to
celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, weddings,
engagements, births, new jobs, house moves and even divorces. With all of these parties
going on all of the time, it’s hard to set yours apart, and you might find that
you spend a long time planning, and preparing entertainment and extras to help
you to throw the perfect party.
One of these extras that you might see advertised when you are getting stuck into your party planning is Photo Booth Hire. You might think that you don’t need a photo booth, seen as most of your guests will have a smartphone in their pocket. But, it can be a worthwhile addition to your party. Here are just five of the reasons to add a photo booth to your next party.
You’ll Get High-Quality Photos
Yes, almost everyone at your party will have a camera in their pocket. Most of them are even high-quality nowadays. But, unfortunately, that doesn’t promise high-quality photos of your event. When checking out the pics your guests have snapped once everything is over you are bound to find plenty blurry, some out of focus, lots of drinks and food and that they get worse as the night progresses.
A photo booth guarantees excellent photos, of people that you love. You’ll still have all of the others too, so it’s win-win.
It’ll Help Make Lots of Fun Memories
Your friends will take selfies, photos of drinks and blurry dance shots. Afterwards, it will be hard for you to associate these with memories, and everyone else at your party will cringe when they look back on them. A photo booth is a way to make great memories that everyone can enjoy looking at after the event.
It’s Great Entertainment
Parties can be hard to get right. We all love a dance and a good time. But, we worry that our guests will get bored and end up sat around on their own table. A photo booth doesn’t just give photos and memories, but it also gives your guests something to do.
It’ll Encourage Mingling
You Can Make it Personal
Photo booths aren’t one size fits all. Yes, most of the stalls are roughly the same, but the things that you can do with it are different. You can get props and backdrops to match the theme of your party, or to suit your personality. You get to make sure your photos are fun, and that your friends have got a way to enjoy themselves. A photo booth can be a wonderfully personal touch to any party.

There are so many businesses that do the exact same thing nowadays and sometimes, the only way to get noticed and thrive is to stand out. Take socks for an example. There are so many brands and so many different opinions out there today. How do you choose? Honestly, I go with the pairs that stand out to me the most. This usually starts with the packaging. So, (for me at least), the way that a sock company grabs my eye and stands out from the crowd is by making socks that look appealing to the eye. Standing out is actually very critical for your company’s success, but I definitely understand that it can be hard to know where to start. That’s why today, I want to talk about three ways to make your business stand out. Here they are:
Great Customer Service
First and foremost, you need to be providing great services and/or products. If you are not, you will run into an overload in your customer service department. Once you’ve mastered your products and services, you need to master your customer service. Great customer service definitely stands out to people. If someone has had an issue with your products and cannot get ahold of a real person on the end of the line, or has an issue exchanging the product, they will most likely never buy from you again. Then, there are the companies with amazing customer service. Someone calls to return a product or service and they are greeted by the kindest person on the other line, who makes the return process a breeze. Do you think this person will buy from that store or company again? Most definitely. Great customer service not only allows you to stand out, but it builds a long-lasting company, with plenty of returning customers.
An Active Instagram
I could talk about this point for hours. There are so many benefits from having an active Instagram account, but please keep in mind that I used the word active. Sure, an Instagram profile will help your business a bit (and it could actually hurt it too, depending on how you use it), but an active profile gets your customers and future customers involved. It starts the conversation, let’s them get almost invested in the item or service, and it keeps your company on their mind. You are able to make money directly from Instagram thanks to shoppable links, which is always nice, but the most important part about Instagram, at least in my opinion, is the engaged community. Utilize posts and stories, as well.
Business.com says, “Instagram is a great way to show potential customers that you are more than just a faceless corporation. This can be done through many of the app's features, but you can really make an impression with live posts and stories. The best way to use live stories is to show behind-the-scenes insights into your company and the people who work there. Some examples are videos that show how products are made, videos of office employees interacting with each other, and live Q&A sessions between you and your audience. Instagram live posts are also an excellent way to build rapport, trust and credibility with followers, as well as showing that there's a human side to your business. If consumers see you as more than an entity looking to take their money, then they may be more trusting of your brand.”
A Stocked Office Or Waiting Room
For employees and customers, I believe that having a stocked office and/or waiting room is essential. Imagine sitting at the car repair shop for hours and hours and hours and not having anything to drink, or anything to do. Make your car repair shop (insert your business there) stand out by giving your customers something to do. I always recommend having snacks, plenty of drinks, and other ‘necessary’ additions, but I also always tell people to buy a pool table! Why? It not only gives your customers something to do, but it shows that you care about them and about their business.
A pool table will 100% enhance your waiting room, or your office. As a side note, more and more businesses and realizing the power of having a ‘fun’ office for their employees. In fact, a popular CPA firm in Atlanta has a couple of pool tables, has an air hockey table, a “golf room,” and a break room, that is stocked with things such as a popcorn machine, a Coca-Cola machine (the kind with endless options), and so many other fun options. It keeps their employees happy and working hard and if that’s all it takes, they are more than willing to provide those things for them!
They told me that the pool tables definitely get the most use, so for their 300+ person firm, they have 5 pool tables and they are looking to expand again, soon. I asked them how they afford to buy and keep up with the pool tables and they gave me such great information that I wanted to pass on to all of you. If you are thinking that buying a pool table for your customers and/or employees would be unreasonably expensive, think again! There are companies out there such as Absolute Billiard Services that can walk you through every single step of your purchase (and after, as well) while helping you save money. Absolute Billiard Service is a full-service billiard company focused on providing master-quality work matched with exceptional customer service. They move, recover, assemble, disassemble, calibrate, and repair all makes and models of pool tables, including antiques. They also sell and rent pool tables, as well! The used pool table models that they sell are extremely affordable, so this is a great way to start your waiting room, or “fun” office, without breaking the bank.
I highly recommend checking out their commercial pool table installations, if your business sees a lot of traffic. ‘Bar tables’ need additional attention and care that a home pool table doesn’t require, but if your business sees a lot of people each day, it’s worth it because the grade of felt they use on bar tables (compared to the tables you see at home) stand up to wear and tear. When it comes to your pool table, pool cue maintenance is a key factor in a successful table and the good thing about that is the fact that Absolute Billiard Services can definitely help you with your maintenance and any repairs that you might need, as well.
They say, “Absolute Billiard Services has been providing quality pool table services to the metro Atlanta area for over 17 years. We are fully licensed, insured, and trusted (with one million dollar general liability insurance and $10,000 cargo insurance) and we have the credentials and references to back it up. We are one of the only two official members of the ABIA (American Billiard Installers Association – abiainstallers.com) in the city of Atlanta, so beware of those who may falsely claim to be. The ABIA is the sole association that sets the standards for quality and professionalism in the pool and billiard table industry of America. With strict guidelines and quality control, checks for all who apply to be ABIA members, guaranteed customer satisfaction and quality of craftsmanship are verified only for those who meet their highest standards. Ask for Brett (Owner/Operator since 2000).”
Traditionally, when it comes to relationships of a man and a woman, a man would get down on one knee and ask the woman in his life to marry him. Today there are so many versions of a happy couple, that now you really don’t need to be so traditional and old school. Whether you are in a loving relationship with a man or a woman, why not take matters into your own hands? Sometimes our partners can drag their feet, and often they don’t realise that you have hit the next stage of your relationship. They may be content, you may already have kids together and a home, so what’s the point? But sometimes it is that commitment, that marriage and ceremony that signifies and sets in stone your life together.
So taking matters into your own hands could be on the cards, so what should you do to make the engagement happen? Here are some suggestions on how to bring the engagement to life and finally take that next step in your relationship.
Getting the engagement ring sorted
One of the first things that you need to think about is the engagement ring. Normally, if you were wanting to be proposed to, you would expect the other person to arrange this side of things, but taking matters into your own hands means that you can finally make those decisions and really choose something that you love. Browning brands like Tacori and using the internet as a great source of inspiration to figure out what it is you want. Plus you will know your size, so there will be no issue around whether or not the ring will fit. Another option is to do the proposing, and then together go out and choose the ring which can equitably give you a lovely memory to share together.
Choosing the right location
The next thing you will need to think about is where you will pop the question. This can actually be one of the harder decisions to make. You need to think about things such as what means something to you both, what might be romantic or certainly give the occasion a little something extra. Many people look to their past memories and experiences with one another to choose a great place. This could be a restaurant you had your first date in, a place you stayed where you declared your love for one another,or a romantic spot where you shared your first kiss. If you think hard enough, you are bound to find something that will work for you.
Keeping it a surprise
A tough part of this is keeping it a surprise. Some people just don’t have that natural poker face where they can keep up with appearances. Especially if you have a place to go and somewhere specific to be. The best advice would be to confide in someone that you trust so that you can speak to someone about it. They can be your person to bounce ideas off, and to share details, and they may even be able to help you bring the whole thing together. This person could also be lurking around to grab some pictures or video footage of the engagement, so that you have a lovely thing to look back on in years to come.
When are you going to do it?
Another issue people who want to propose to someone else face is knowing exactly when to do it, and you have a fair few options to consider. Some people think that there is more of an element of surprise if you propose on another occasion day such as Valentines Day, a birthday or Christmas. Perhaps even using your anniversary as the day to do it. Others want to use a completely different day, and perhaps make it an occasion in itself. The choice is yours, but make sure that all of your other plans and ideas fall in line with it.
What are you going to say?
Finally, the toughest thing at all, but yet, the one thing that should be the easiest, what exactly are you going to say? Aside from the usual question, which can feel overwhelming to ask anyway, are you going to say anything else? Perhaps using this time as a chance to really get all of your feelings out. Letting that other person know exactly how you feel and what you want from your life together. This is your moment, so take some time to make a few nights, or even prepare a whole speech if you wish.
Let’s hope this has given you the inspiration to help you take matters into your own hands when it comes to proposing.

A compression injury is also known as a crush injury. This is quite simply when a part of your body is crushed or compressed severely. This can lead to small and large ruptures of tissues, fractures bones, and even burst blood vessels. The body immediately reacts to such an injury by going in hypovolemic shock. This limits the amount of blood flow to the injury for a number of reasons. It can be because you are losing blood and therefore no more fresh blood will be sent to that area. It can also be because the bones and muscle tissue are blocking the blood vessels thus to not create a blood clot, the brain signals to the body to no longer send blood to the injured zones. There can also be different kinds of compression injuries, such as to the back and neck vertebrae. There are some rules to follow regardless of what kind you suffer.
Stop moving around
Much like a broken bone, compression injuries will send numbing but also painful sensations up and down the injured area. This is just the normal relay of information the nerves are giving to the rest of the body and brain. The key to limit sudden pain upon a crush injury is to stop moving that part of your body. Moving it around could make the situation worse. The body is already in shock and will begin to figure out whether or not to send more blood to the area. The more you move the more the body will send blood to that area, which can cause a shortness of breath and feeling lightheaded. Stay still and try not to move your limbs so no long lasting damage is done.
Take the pressure off
For back injuries you need to stabilize your body and take the pressure off your spine. This is also true for the neck and on occasion even the pelvic region. A vertebrae disk pushing up against a nerve is one of the most painful feelings the human body can suffer. So resting in a position where the focal point of the tension is not being pressured, is key to your physical recovery. For however long you are recovering, pay special mind to the weight and tension you are putting on the healing zone. The less pressure the faster and better the damage repairing will be.
Going through therapy
Physical therapy has really made leaps and bounds in the past two decades. The importance of medical help in improving and or regaining your normal movement after a compression injury is vital to your quality of life. Pursue PT is an excellent option for individuals looking for physical therapy services following a compression injury.
Torsion and flex
A crushing injury is very simple yet it's also very complex. For example if your hand is crushed, it's not like the bones have snapped in the conventional sense. They have been flattened so the fractures are spread outward. The recovery from such an injury is complex because normally a crush injury involved multiple if not many fractures. How each tiny piece of bones heals and remakes the bone structure is unique. However you can practice strengthening the normal role of your hand by torsioning and flexing. Torsioning can be done by gripping something tightly and then releasing. Do this over and over to twist your injured area. Flexing can be done by stretching and bending your hand or curling it into a ball. Practicing the full range of movement will allow your hand to slowly regain it's normal functions. This torsion and flex method can be applied to any part of the body.
A compression/crush injury is one of the more rarer kinds of fractures and muscle tears. Make sure you’re not putting pressure on the area in a resting position. Don’t move it around a lot so you can allow bones to reset. Physical therapy really helps to regain what you lost so try to attain this kind of professional help for your own recovery. Practice some torsion and flexing exercises on your own at home to educate your limbs on what their normal functions are again.

People these days are expecting to live a lot longer than ever before. Once you hit retirement, you usually have at least another couple of decades before you have to move on to somewhere new. However, if you want to get through all of these many years, then you need to take proper care of yourself. You should eat right, exercise, and make an effort to stay socially active. That being said, even after taking these measures, getting older can still bring on a number of health problems. With that in mind, here are seven health concerns you should look out for as you age.
1. Arthritis
When people imagine the conditions that seniors typically deal with, arthritis is probably the one that most first think of. This is an incredibly common problem affecting more than a fifth of the population, with most suffers being over 65. It is an issue that occurs when the cartilage and fluid in a joint wear out, causing the bones to scrape against one another. Arthritis can be quite painful, but, if you speak to your doctor, they can offer treatments, like medications and surgery.
2. Heart Disease
2. Heart Disease
As your heart ages, it may have a harder time pumping blood around the body. Some changes in the heart and your circulation are quite normal, but significant ones can cause heart disease, prompting other problems, like strokes and heart attacks. This all sounds incredibly scary, but the good news is that it isn’t an inevitable issue. By making the right lifestyle changes, including exercising and not smoking, you can reduce your risk. You should also attend regular check-ups.
3. Osteoporosis
3. Osteoporosis
They say that the bones of the elderly are more fragile than those of the young, and while most assume this to be a misconception, it’s actually often true. When you get older, your body starts to absorb old bone tissue much quicker than it does create new. This typically results in weaker and thinner bones, which can lead to an issue called osteoporosis. This condition doesn’t have any obvious symptoms, so you should schedule regular bone density tests just to be safe.
4. Hearing Loss
Hearing loss can occur at any age and certainly isn’t inevitable for those growing older. That being said, most hearing loss sufferers are in their retirement years. For this reason, you should take better care of your hearing to prevent any damage. If you start to notice hearing loss, then speak to a professional and pick the right hearing device for you, if necessary. By wearing a hearing aid, you can minimize the symptoms of hearing loss and stop it from getting any worse.
5. Diabetes

5. Diabetes
Although we can develop diabetes at any time in our lives, the risk significantly increases when you get older. This is an incredibly serious condition, which can eventually lead to further issues, including damage to the kidneys, eyes, and nerves. It can also put you at a greater risk of having a stroke or developing heart disease. That being said, with the right treatment, this concern is very manageable. Because of this, you should contact your doctor if you notice any symptoms.
6. Cognitive Impairment
6. Cognitive Impairment
We all have senior moments now and then. Perhaps you forgot what you were going to say midway through a sentence or missed an important event because you didn’t write it down. These small slip-ups are quite normal, but, as you age, you may start making them a lot more. Thankfully, there are ways to keep your mind sharp, including exercise and puzzles. Alzheimer's, and other advanced forms of cognitive impairment, however, do require professional help.
7. Cancer
7. Cancer
Everyone knows someone who does or has had cancer, or, at the very least, knows someone who knows someone else. Because of this, we all understand that the disease doesn’t discriminate in any way, especially by age. However, that doesn’t change the fact that those older are more susceptible to developing one or more of its many types. No one is entirely sure of the reason for this, but there are healthy habits that you can adopt to lessen your risk.
Growing old certainly doesn’t mean that you’ll grow unhealthy. However, those later in life are at a much higher risk of developing a number of serious health conditions. From a loss of hearing to brittle bones, these concerns can affect you in a big way, negatively impacting your quality of life. To stay in tip-top condition, make sure that you adopt a healthier lifestyle and schedule regular check-ups with your doctor
